The
leaders of several metal shape manufacturers shared a common frustration:
They were forced to turn away customer requests because their processes
were not the best approach to meet the customers' needs. Rather
than continuing to disappoint customers, these metal shape manufacturers
decided to pool their capabilities and offer a comprehensive range
of cost-effective metal shape solutions. The result was the Shape
Alliance.
Led
by Gus Hinze, director of Amerex, the Shape Alliance was formed
as an association of independent metal shape manufacturers with
the goal to include companies representing each of the commonly
used metal shape production technologies including casting, cold
drawing, cold rolling, forging, extrusion and others. The Alliance
would become a single point of contact for buyers seeking metal
shapes of any type.
Today,
Alliance members have the capability to produce over 35,000 different
metal shapes with applications in medicine, agriculture, power generation,
road and bridge construction, food processing, oil and gas extraction
and a host of other industrial applications. As new members affiliate
with the Alliance, its capabilities and markets continue to expand.
Our
Mission Statement
As
an alliance of independent companies, we will provide customers
with cost-effective options for purchasing shaped metal products
precisely meeting their needs, while expanding business for our
members. |
